The Brief:

Industry: Donor Recognition & History Wall

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Timeline: March 2019 - September 2019

Having been founded over 40 years ago, the University of Calgary - Faculty of Law, was looking for a way to speak to their history and values in a creative way. We had done work with the Faculty in the past and were excited for the opportunity to update this space with a modern design that would work well with the rest of the interior.

There were a few things that were important for us to take into consideration. We wanted a design that spoke to the history of the Faculty, that was complete with historical photos, quotes, and timelines layered throughout a structured format. To do this we concentrated on strong shapes in combination with different materials, including, dimensional lettering, wood panelling, and a black/grey/white/red colour palette that represented the University of Calgary brand and worked with the rest of the fixtures in the interior.

The result was a cohesive design that accomplished our objectives of creating an eye-catching history wall layered with content that would look good and last for many years.
