Brookfield Communities

Liv Monument

Visual Branding | Spatial Design | Custom Fabrication | Large-scale Infographic Design | Installation

The Brief:

Client: Brookfield Residential

Industry: Sales & Information Centres

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Timeline: November 2016 - April 2016

After surpassing expectations with our Livingston mall kiosk, and the great working relationship we have with Brookfield, we were excited to work on more projects together. At the end of 2016, an opportunity came up to create an installation showcasing Brookfields new community, Livingston.

This installation would symbolize their community values of togetherness and community. The concept was inspired by the Love Lock bridge in Paris, as community members buy new houses they attach a lock to one of the 3 letters that span 10’ tall by 20’ wide. The letters are stainless steel and are made up of the first three letters of Livingston, LIV, and instantly strike comparisons with living, or living in the community. The locks are meant to be combined from different people, over time to show the growth of Livingston.

We were proud to see this monument get completed, and everyone loves the final product. The structure has been in its current home for 4 years but will soon be moved in front of the new Homeowners Association facility.
