Visual Branding | Spatial Design | Custom Fabrication | Large-scale Infographic Design | Installation

The Brief:

Client: Calgary Stampede

Industry: Custom Graphics & Signs

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Timeline: March 2017 - June 2017

The Calgary Stampede is a world-renowned fair that takes place every July. Created over 100 years ago it is known as the “greatest outdoor show on Earth”, and runs for two weeks in Calgary, Alberta. Their Community Stage helps out for the two weeks but also runs year-round providing a platform for Speeches, concerts and cultural displays, worldwide, and we were lucky enough to design the exterior and interior graphics for the 45’ custom trailer.

The Community Stage is a 45’ semi-truck and trailer that transforms into a stage, providing a space for an event anywhere large enough to host the trailer. We designed, printed and installed graphics for the 360-degree trailer, as well as, the interior stage graphics and door labels. The graphics are inspired by the storytelling of the Wild West, referencing old posters, a Canadian colour palette, and combined with a hot rod style aesthetic that could represent the passion and energy found throughout the city and country.

The design and install was a huge success with the trailer winning the 2017 Digital Output “Application of the Year” award.
